Participating in a panel on education and the empowerment of girls and women, alongside Malala Yousafzai at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, Prime Minister Trudeau announced that we are doubling our aid to the Global Partnership for Education to $180 million over three years. The Partnership attempts to strengthen education in developing countries, with a focus on improving school and transportation infrastructure, and removing barriers to girls’ access to education including child labour practices and poverty.
